Listen now: A great conversation with Jeff King
I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on my friend and colleague’s podcast, “Nine Lives with Jeff King: Live Your Best One”. Jeff and I had a far-reaching conversation that explores the Enneagram, relationships, life in the pandemic, and my current creative inspirations (like Gen Z, Patti Smith, and Taylor Swift).
This is probably my favorite podcast interview I’ve done to date. Jeff created such a comfortable space in conversation that I feel like I was really able to articulate things how I wanted to––as close to how they live in my head as possible, which is a rare occurrence and a gift for which I am grateful. I hope the conversation will be valuable to you as well!
Topics we cover:
What it’s like to be an Enneagram type 4
Type 9s and 4s relational dynamics
Stances (Social Styles) — how each type tries to get their needs met
Harmonic Groups — how each type deals with conflict/difficulty
Conflict combinations among the Positive Outlook (279), Competency (135), and Reactive (468) groups + strategies for healthier conflict resolution
Practices for self-care/centering during this difficult year
Creative inspirations
My current skepticism of my own insistence on what I perceive as authenticity, and what I miss out on because of it (aka what I’m learning from my newfound Taylor Swift fandom)
The 100 Days of Enneagram podcast
Faith development throughout a lifetime and finding language to help name our experiences
I hope you’ll take a listen, enjoy, and make sure to follow the good work Jeff is doing in the world!
